What should I ask the Old Man from Our Forest for Christmas?

Text: Stirnubuks.lv

The “ERGO Stirnu Buks 2025” trail-running season was as colorful as a woodpecker’s belly and full of wild, stormy events! What about you — what will your next season be like? Stirnu buks, are you ready to enjoy the wild, untamed trails of Vidzeme, the Great Sea solstice run, the Grand Finale challenges, and all the other lively events?

And you already know this — probably the best gift to ask the Mūsmežs Old Man for Christmas is a season pass for the “Stirnu Buks 2026” trail-running series and/or a gift card for your best friend!

Next season, as usual, we’ll jump into six stages:

28 March — ZEMGALE, Latvian State Forests Stirnu Buks
25 April — KURZEME, City Trails Stirnu Buks
23 May — VIDZEME, Wild Vidzeme Stirnu Buks
20 June — KURZEME, Solstice Night Stirnu Buks (including the “Wolf” distance, approx. 50 km)
12 September — PIERĪGA, Daugava–Gauja Stirnu Buks
10 October — VIDZEME, Grand Finale Stirnu Buks

The season pass is a discount system that allows participants to attend the trail-running series at a lower cost. It is not transferable to third parties.

If you’re planning to jump into Mūsmežs for the very first time, note that to purchase a season pass and/or a gift card, you must first create your own profile.

The price of the season pass will remain the same as last season, while registration for individual trail-running events will open in the second half of January next year. Participation fees and the discount system will also remain at 2025 levels. For more details, see the “Frequently Asked Questions” section HERE.

It should also be noted that everyone who purchases a 2026 season pass will receive technical sports shirts from our new partner, New Balance. Read more about the new partnership HERE.
