The ERGO Stirnu Buks 2025 trail running series will conclude its season in Pļaviņas

Latvia’s largest mass-participation running series, “ERGO Stirnu Buks 2025,” will conclude this year’s surprise-filled trail season on 11 October at the “Jankas – Jaujas” sports base in Aizkraukle Municipality, long popular among endurance athletes. The Bucks will leap here for the first time in the series’ history, with the host of the event being Latvia’s strongest cross-country skier, Patrīcija Eiduka, who has confirmed she will be present at the event.

Latvia Joins the Prestigious UTMB® World Series Trail Running Series

This week in Chamonix (France), the world’s most prestigious trail running event – the UTMB Mont-Blanc Festival – kicks off with 8 races, more than 10,000 runners from 120 countries, and an audience of over 100,000 spectators. During the festival, a long-term partnership agreement will be officially signed between UTMB organizers and the team behind Latvia’s trail running series “Stirnu buks.” Starting next season, they will organize one of the UTMB World Series races — Gauja Trail by UTMB®

Changes in the Series Regulations

As we have already announced, thanks to the results gathered from the participant survey, the overall ranking calculations for the ‘ERGO Stirnu buks 2025’ trail running series—both in individual and team standings—have been updated! Yes, this will change tactical strategies and could make the new season even more exciting for the trail-running community. And yes, you asked for a "new look" yourselves!
