The natural landscapes of Vanema hills in the Ziemeļkursa highland have been declared specially protected natural areas and are currently part of the Talsi Hills Natural Park. Small patches of dense forests stand amidst wast fields sheltering hillside valleys with steep slopes among which small lakes are flickering like winking eyelets. The highest peak of the Ziemeļkurzeme Highland is Kamparkalns (174.8 mamsl), which is overgrown with fir and birch forest with a tall view tower on the top. There are ski slopes with ski lifts on the foothills of Kamparkalns. Exactly here there will be the info center of the competition!

Kamparkalns view tower, Lībagu parish, GPS [57.214287 22.642994]
Kamparkalns is the highest peak of Ziemeļkurzeme region (174m above sea level), at the top of it there is a 28m high viewing tower built and maintained by the State Forest Enterprise "Latvian State Forests". From the tower you can see Talsi hills and hillside forests, landscapes and lakes, as well as further parishes and objects, whose location is easier to spot by looking at the images installed on the tower's viewing platform. The view tower is open all year long.

There is a well-maintained recreation area near Lake Mundig - equipped with solid wood benches, table, parasols, garbage cans, changing cabins, children's playground, outdoor exercise machines and a parking place for bicycles - all for the convenience of visitors.

One of the most beautiful and most refined beaches in Talsi district. Visitors can access football, volleyball and basketball courts, outdoor fitness equipment, children's playground, picnic and camping places.

Observatory in "Lielzeltiņi" is the best place to start your own star trek in Latvia! Its creator and initiator is Sergejs Kļimanskis, an entrepreneur from Riga, who has been an aficionado of astronomy since his school years. Sabile Wine Festival, sabile.lv
The wine festival is a celebration of the symbol of Sabile - Vīna kalns aka. the Wine Hill. The Sabile Wine Festival will be celebrated from the 25th-29th of July. The festival also hosts a meet-up of Latvian winemakers, a grand wine tasting of wine made from the Sabile Wine Hill and locally made wine distributed only in small lots on a small scale. The traditions of the festival also include a theatrical parade, snail competitions, sliding hills of wine foam and lighting of a fire sculpture. This is a unique hill, unique wine and a unique Festival definitely worth a visit! Meet the city with its unique flavor!

Talsi, with its picturesque landscapes and cityscape, has always inspired creative people. Famous artists from Latvia and Talsi old masters have created wonderful paintings of Talsi and its surroundings through time. On the route "Art blooms in Talsi", reproductions of paintings are placed next to the real life sights depicted in the paintings. Five works of art have been "revived" through technology and you can view a visualization on them on your smart-phone by scanning a QR code.

The promenade by the Talsi is a picaresque path in the ancient part of the city, with a magnificent view of the old town of Talsi. There is also an active recreation center "Pakalnu Pogas" on the Promenade providing various vehicles for rent: bicycles, velocarts, catamarans - as well as some games to play in Talsi city.
